Your New Role Joining the dynamic General Insurance practice, you will work alongside industry-leading partners and a highly regarded team in a thriving practice. You will take ownership off your own matters, defending claims against professionals in the construction, financial services, legal, health, and medical sectors (including medical malpractice). Your responsibilities in this role include: Engaging directly with clients to develop and implement strategic approaches Collaborating within a close-knit legal team (Senior Associates will also provide leadership and mentorship to junior lawyers) Analysing case materials and preparing evidence Drafting legal correspondence for courts and external parties Conducting witness conferences and preparing statements Compiling briefs for counsel Drafting court documents and attending hearings Providing strategic legal advice to clients Preparing instructions for expert witnesses Culture & Benefits This firm pride themselves on the culture of their organisation - a supportive, collaborative and friendly environment that places a big emphasis of the health and wellbeing of their people. Your Skills Profile 3 Years PAE in general insurance law; experience in professional indemnity/financial lines matters; experience in the day-to-day management of files and in running matters through court proceedings; a team player, with a ‘can do’ attitude, and a strong interest in defendant insurance law; excellent technical, analytical and drafting skills with a keen attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to organise and prioritise effectively; and experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers (for more senior candidates).
